“Stop hoping for action, and be action”
This is one of my favorite lines from the new documentary entitled Regeneration is premiering at the Sprockets children’s film festival in Toronto.
When young people around the world are rallying to overthrow dictatorships and create change in their communities, this movie looks at why teens and 20-year-olds today in North America seem so politically disengaged and absorbed in their own online lives with friends.
Narrated by Ryan Gossling and contributors such as noted thinker Noam Chomsky and historian-activist Howard Zinn (since deceased) discuss how we got to this place, and who or what (if anything) is to blame.
